7.8.2. Repair

Repair of control devices consists in malfunction definition, removal of a combination of devices and replacement of the failed device or sensor.

Removal and installation, dismantling and assembly of a combination of devices
For removal of a combination of devices make the following. Install the button of the weights switch in situation "is switched off". Unscrew screws of fastening of a guard of the dashboard and remove a guard. Turn off nuts of fastening of a combination to a car body. Turn off a nut of fastening of the handle of dumping of a daily run and extend on yourself a combination of devices. Disconnect blocks of plaits of wires, a flexible shaft of a speedometer and remove a combination of devices. Carry out installation of a combination of devices upside-down.
For dismantling of a combination of devices unscrew screws of fastening of a mask with glass to the case and remove it.
For removal of a speedometer and a tachometer unscrew screws of their fastening to the combination case.
For removal of indexes of level of fuel, pressure of oil, temperature of cooling liquid, tension turn off nuts of fastening them to the case.
For removal of control lamps and lamps of illumination of a combination of devices turn their cartridges counterclockwise and extend on yourself.
The combination of devices gathers upside-down.

Technique of search of malfunctions of devices
 Index of temperature of cooling liquid
If the arrow of the index is constantly in the beginning of a scale, then at the included ignition disconnect a wire from the sensor of the index and connect a wire tip to "weight". If the arrow deviates, then, therefore, the sensor is faulty and it needs to be replaced.
If the arrow does not deviate, remove a combination of devices and at the included ignition connect the X3/6 plug of a shestiklemmovy block of red color to "weight". The arrow deviation in this case will indicate malfunction of the device or damage of the wire connecting the sensor to a combination of devices. If the arrow does not deviate – replace the device. If the arrow of the index constantly is in a red zone, then at the included ignition disconnect a wire from the sensor. At the faulty sensor of the shooter has to return to the beginning of a scale. If the arrow remains in a red zone, then the wire becomes isolated on "weight" or the device is damaged. Serviceability of the device can be checked, having disconnected a wire from the X3/6 plug of a shestiklemmovy block of red color suitable to a combination of devices from a plait of wires. At the included ignition of the shooter has to be in the beginning of a scale.
The device works together with the sensor 2422.3828 (or TM106). At sensor resistance over 1220 Ohms of the shooter has to be in the beginning of a scale, at resistance of 155-196 Ohms – at the beginning of the red site of a scale.
 Index of level of fuel
The technique of check is similar described above.
If the arrow of the device constantly is in the beginning of a scale and does not deviate after short circuit on "mass" of a tip of the wire disconnected from the sensor, then it is necessary to check the device. For this purpose remove a combination of devices and at the included ignition connect the X1/1 plug of a shestiklemmovy colourless block to "weight". At the serviceable device of the shooter has to deviate.
The device works together with the sensor 6212.3827 installed in the fuel tanks. This sensor also the control lamp of a reserve of fuel joins if in a tank there were 6–8 liters of fuel. At resistance of the sensor of 315-345 Ohms of the shooter has to be in the beginning of a scale, at resistance of 108-128 Ohms – in the middle of a scale (risk in a green zone of a scale), at resistance no more than 7 Ohms – at the end of a scale (a full tank).
 Index of pressure of oil
The technique of check is similar described above.
For check of serviceability of the device at the included ignition connect the X3/4 plug of a shestiklemmovy block of red color to "weight".
The device works together with the oil 23.3829 pressure sensor for cars UAZ-3160,-31601 and-31605 and the sensor 3902.3829 – for UAZ-31604. In the absence of oil pressure in the lubrication system (resistance of the sensor of 290-330 Ohms) of the shooter has to be in the beginning of a scale. For sensors 23.3829 and 3902.3829 171 at resistance of 200 Ohms of the shooter has to be about the first control point on an index scale. At resistance of 51-79 Ohms of the shooter of the index has to be about the second control point on an index scale.
 Index of tension
You carry out an inspection of the index, comparing its indications to the control device. The error of indications of the voltmeter on marks of 12 V () and 14 V (risk in a green zone of a scale) should not exceed risk on border of white and green zones ±0,4 Century.
 Speedometer
The speedometer of type 47.3802 consists of the arrow index of speed of the movement of the car in km/h and counters of a total and daily run of the car. Indications of the counter of a daily run can be established on zero by turn of the handle of dumping counterclockwise only on the motionless car.
You carry out an inspection of a speedometer at the stand, comparing its indications to reference.
 Tachometer
On cars UAZ-3160,-31601 and-31605 the electronic tachometer 362.3813, on cars UAZ-31604 – 3672.3813 is established.
The tachometer is checked at the stand by comparison of its indications with reference.

Check of sensors of control devices
 Sensor of the index of temperature of cooling liquid 2422.3828 or TM 106. The thermoresistor changing the resistance depending on temperature of cooling liquid is installed in the sensor. Data for check are provided in tab. 31.
 The sensor of a control lamp of emergency temperature of the TM 111-09 cooling liquid is installed on the top tank of a radiator. Contacts of the sensor become isolated at a temperature of cooling liquid of 91-98 °C.
 The sensor of the index of pressure of oil 23.3829 for cars UAZ-3160,
- 31601 and-31605 and 3902.3829 for the car UAZ-31604. In the sensor the resistive element is built in. At change of pressure of oil sensor resistance changes. Data for check of sensors are provided in tab. 32 and 33.
 The sensor of emergency pressure drop of MM oil 111 D for cars UAZ-3160,-31601 and-31605 is installed on the block of cylinders. Contacts of the sensor have to become isolated with a pressure of 0,4-0,8 kgfs/cm2.
On the engine of the car UAZ-31604 the sensor of emergency pressure drop of oil of BOSCH of 0344101085 type is installed. Contacts of the sensor have to become isolated with a pressure of 0,3-0,5 kgfs/cm2.
 The relay breaker of a control lamp of the parking RS-492 brake system provides faltering burning of a control lamp of the parking brake system. It is connected and fastens behind a combination of devices to a plait of wires the PVC adhesive tape.
The number of cycles of inclusion and switching off of the relay breaker in a minute at a voltage from 10,8 to 15 V has to make 60–120.
Resistance of a winding of the breaker of 26 Ohms.
 Hours
Hours like "A12 East" quartz, work irrespective of position of the button of the weights switch.
Hours fasten on an overlay of the console of the dashboard by means of latches on the case.
At inclusion of lighting of devices the dial of hours is highlighted by two lamps of the A12-1,2 type. For replacement of the failed lamps it is necessary to take out hours from a nest, to remove a back cover and a cartridge with a lamp.
